Suhail A. Saeed is the World Bank Group Executive Director for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 2024. Mr. Saeed brings a diverse experience in the private, public, and non-profit sectors. He joined the office as an Advisor in 2021.
Prior to joining the Bank, he was a senior policy advisor at the G20 in the International Financial Architecture working group during the Saudi G20 Presidency, when the historic agreement was designed on debt and fiscal support to the most vulnerable countries in 2020. He has been honored with the King Abdulaziz Order of Merit award upon concluding his G20 assignment.
Mr. Saeed held several positions within the Capital Market Authority (2009-2019), concluded by establishing with a bright team the Risk Management function. Prior to joining the government, he worked in various international technology companies. He is a member of a Kenya-based non-profit focusing on children’s education and well-being, and a Saudi-based foundation focusing on housing for female-headed households.
He holds an M.A. in Economics from Seoul National University and a B.Sc. in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
